Celebrating its 50th year, Fieldays is the Southern Hemisphere’s largest agricultural event and the ultimate launch platform for cutting-edge technology and innovation.
At the University of Waikato, our researchers are finding ways to use machine learning to increase agri-efficiency and to protect New Zealand’s borders from pests and disease. They are collaborating with industry to find practical solutions to today’s problems. They’re also investigating ethics around the use of new and emerging technologies, and what it means for our farmers and the industry.
Curious? Come and visit our stand in the Mystery Creek Pavilion. See for yourself, challenge a machine, question the changing face of farming in the move towards AI solutions.
We will also have a stand at the Fieldays Careers and Education Hub again this year– a fun and interactive zone facilitating interaction between those wanting to explore career options in the agricultural sector and agricultural education providers and agribusinesses. If you are interested in finding out about study opportunities and career paths at Waikato, visit the Hub and have a chat with one of our advisers.
